Day 2 - The Talks
Politics, Religion and Friends
We had a talk together about politics - specifically around the concept of law, and does it really do justice the world?
religion - is god real?
Friends - getting over the ones that are toxic and finding and relying on new friends.
I felt that this conversation was really important in developing our friendship as it made us talk and understand different points of view in subjects that are considered a huge no no, when trying to get to know someone. However, in this instance we were able to understand each others point of view and create a interesting discussion about it. Although we did leave the conversation without much change of point of view (especially religion), we did agree to one thing in politics. We discussed that there is no such thing as justice in law it is mostly a rule to set individuals in a orderly path influenced by our logistics, and at times emotion. - Justice cannot always be fully served. I felt that this was too much of a romanticised view of law. Moreover, personally I believe that there is no such thing as a god, however I do believe in a being. I do not agree into the fact that we have to worship someone that 'created us' and the overall aspect of heaven and hell baffles me and I just can't seem to disregard the fact that this religion seems to be a perfect set up for control in belief. (However, I do understand why there are people who choose to believe this as an aspect of hope and support in their life, and to be able to lean on someone/ something, as I did attend church when I was younger.
Photographic Journal of the Trip: ft. Varity and Agassiz
Day 1 - Diary of the travel
below is me ranting of what happened during the trip to Surrey.
During the trip to surrey, I had fought with lots of my friends and almost lost them , I recieved a rejection letter from one of my cources and sprained my ankle on the way. This really allowed me to reflect on the events that happened and also realise how important the aspect of friends and family is to me . However, as the day went by I got stuck on the train railyway station at 12 in the morning and there were no available taxis weilling to come to my area, I stood there for around an hoour until someone came to pick me up. I had to pay 20 pounds for a 1.5 km trip to the house. As I went to the house, I had realsised I developed tonselitius. Looking back this day was probebly the most memorable worst day of my life.
Day 3 - brief summery of what happened on the last day
On the last day, we had packed our bags and cleaned up the house before we left. However, as I was sick there was minimal things I could do overall, however I did take painkillers and helped in some areas at the house much more than the other 2 days I was there. There was an incident that we thought we lost one of the cats that were there but realised she was hiding below the bed. Anyways, we went to the station by the bus and took the train to a different stop and had to wait there for 5 hours as the ticket to the next train was unbelievably expensive. I had just watched movies to help forget my increasingly painful fever and aches. However, after the train came it was much warmer inside and so I had slept for the rest of the train ride. When we arrived to the station, it was very clear I did have a fever and my throat was going to kill me. We said our goodbyes and I went back home taking a uber as I just was simply too exhausted to take any other means of transport. I got home and stayed very warm in my room and rested to get better.
The overall trip, was really hard to make any work as I was incredibly sick from the start to the end. However, the talks and the walks that we had did make an incredible experience and overall made the group closer together.
